Philip Anthony Campbell (rojen 7. maja 1961) je valižanski rock glasbenik, najbolj znan kot kitarist skupine Motörhead, v kateri je igral od leta 1984 do razpada skupine leta 2015. Trenutno nastopa s svojo skupino Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, v kateri sodelujejo tudi njegovi trije sinovi: Todd, Dane in Tyla.

Campbell se je rodil v kraju Pontypridd in začel igrati kitaro pri desetih letih, navdihnili pa so ga kitaristi kot so Jimi Hendrix, Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Jan Akkerman, Michael Schenker in Todd Rundgren. Pri dvanajstih letih je po koncertu skupine Hawkwind srečal Lemmyja in ga prosil za avtogram. Pri trinajstih je že polprofesionalno igral v kabarejski skupini Contrast.Leta 1979 je ustanovil heavy metal skupino Persian Risk, s katero je posnel singla “Calling For You” (1981) in “Ridin’ High” (1983). Njegova glasba s Persian Risk je bila kasneje vključena v več kompilacij.

🔥 Motörhead 🔥
8. februarja 1984, po odhodu kitarista Briana Robertsona, je skupina Motörhead organizirala avdicijo za novega kitarista. Končna izbira je bila med Michaelom “Würzelom” Burstonom in Philipom Campbellom. Čeprav je Lemmy sprva načrtoval zaposlitev le enega kitarista, je po poslušanju obeh skupaj izbral kar oba.
14. februarja 1984 so Motörhead nastopili kot glasbeni gostje v epizodi “Bambi” serije The Young Ones. 15. septembra istega leta je sledila ena najbolj znanih kompilacij skupine, No Remorse. Campbell je nato z Motörhead večkrat obšel svet in ostal zvest član skupine vse do njenega razpada.
28. decembra 2015 je umrl Lemmy, ustanovni in edini stalni član Motörhead. Naslednji dan je bobnar Mikkey Dee napovedal razpad skupine in izjavil: »Ne bomo več nastopali ali snemali. A ogenj živi naprej in Lemmy živi v srcih vseh nas.«

🔥 Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons 🔥
Druga Motorheadova Motorboat turneja je bila tematsko križarjenje iz Miamija na Bahame in je predstavila Phil Campbell’s All Starr Band, eno od podpornih skupin, ki so nastopile poleg glavnih izvajalcev Motorhead, Anthrax in Slayer. Iz te zasedbe je kasneje nastala skupina Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons.

Novembra 2016 je skupina izdala svojo prvo izdajo – istoimenski EP. Kasneje so nastopili kot predskupina Guns N’ Roses, Hawkwind, Saxon in Airbourne.
Avgusta 2017 so napovedali snemanje svojega prvenca, katerega naslov so razkrili 26. oktobra 2017 – The Age of Absurdity. Album je izšel 26. januarja 2018 pri Nuclear Blast Records, producent pa je bil Romesh Dodangoda.

Prva zasedba skupine je poleg Phila in njegovih treh sinov vključevala tudi pevca Neila Starra (nekdanji pevec Attack! Attack!). Leta 2021 ga je zamenjal vokalist Joel Peters.

21. aprila 2018 so izdali priredbo pesmi “Silver Machine” (original Hawkwind) za Record Store Day. Pesem je bila prej vključena kot bonus na določenih izdajah The Age of Absurdity.
Drugi album z naslovom We’re The Bastards je izšel leta 2020, s Starrjem kot vokalistom.
Tretji album, Live In The North, je bil posnet v Sunderlandu leta 2021 z Joelem Petersom kot vokalistom in izdan marca 2023.
Četrti album, Kings of the Asylum, je izšel 1. septembra 2023. Izidu so predhodili trije videospoti za skladbe “Schizophrenia”, “Hammer and Dance” in “Strike The Match”, posnet na ekskluzivnem dogodku v Cardiffu.

⚡ Pomaranča ⚡

Pomaranča je ena izmed prvih in najpomembnejših slovenskih hard rock/heavy metal skupin, ki je nastala v začetku 80. let prejšnjega stoletja v Ljubljani. Skupina je znana po svojem energičnem zvoku, melodičnih kitarskih riffih in močnem vokalu, s čimer je postavila temelje slovenskega heavy metala in vplivala na številne kasnejše izvajalce.

Zasedbo so ustanovili vokalist Zoran More, kitarist Mijo Popović, basist Tomaž Žontar, bobnar Franc Teropšič in klaviaturist Andrej Zupančič. Njihova glasba je združevala elemente klasičnega rocka in metala z značilnim jugoslovanskim pridihom 80-ih let.

Leta 1981 so izdali svoj prvenec “Peklenska pomaranča”, ki je postal kultna plošča na prostoru nekdanje Jugoslavije. Album je vseboval udarne skladbe, kot so “Alkohol”, “Soldat”, in naslovna “Peklenska pomaranča”, ki so se vtisnile v zgodovino domače rock glasbe.

Philip Anthony Campbell[1] (born 7 May 1961)[2] is a Welsh rock musician, best known as the guitarist in Motörhead from 1984 until its disbandment 2015 upon the death of founder and frontman Lemmy. He currently tours with his own band Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, featuring his three sons: Todd, Dane and Tyla.
Campbell was born in Pontypridd, and started playing guitar when he was 10 years old, inspired and influenced by guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi, Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page, Jan Akkerman, Michael Schenker and Todd Rundgren. At the age of 12, Campbell met Lemmy after a Hawkwind gig and asked him for an autograph. By the age of 13, Campbell was playing semi-professionally with a cabaret band called Contrast.
In 1979, Campbell formed the heavy metal band, Persian Risk, playing on their 7″ singles, “Calling For You” (1981) and “Ridin’ High” (1983). Compilation albums have been issued which feature some of his work with Persian Risk.

🔥 Motörhead 🔥
On 8 February 1984, following the departure of Brian Robertson, Motörhead held auditions for a new guitarist, narrowing the candidates down to two guitarists: Michael “Würzel” Burston and Philip Campbell. Though Lemmy had first planned on hiring only one guitarist, he hired both Würzel and Campbell upon hearing them play together.

On 14 February 1984, Motörhead were the musical guest for The Young Ones episode “Bambi”. One of the band’s most popular compilations, No Remorse, followed shortly, it was released on 15 September. Campbell subsequently toured the world with the band and remained a constant member of Motörhead until they disbanded.

On 28 December 2015, band founder and sole constant member Lemmy died. The following day, drummer Mikkey Dee announced that Motörhead had disbanded, stating: “We will not be doing any more tours or anything. And there will not be any more records. But the fire survives, and Lemmy lives on in the hearts of everyone.”

The second edition of Motörhead’s Motorboat cruise was a themed journey from Miami to the Bahamas and featured Phil Campbell’s All Starr Band, one of the supporting acts alongside headliners Motörhead, Anthrax, and Slayer. From this lineup, the band Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons was later formed.
In November 2016, the band released their first recording – a self-titled EP. They later performed as a support act for Guns N’ Roses, Hawkwind, Saxon, and Airbourne.

In August 2017, they announced the recording of their debut album, which was officially titled The Age of Absurdity on October 26, 2017. The album was released on January 26, 2018, through Nuclear Blast Records and produced by Romesh Dodangoda.
The original lineup of the band included Phil Campbell, his three sons, and vocalist Neil Starr (former frontman of Attack! Attack!). In 2021, he was replaced by singer Joel Peters.

On April 21, 2018, they released a cover of “Silver Machine” (originally by Hawkwind) for Record Store Day. The track had previously been available as a bonus on some editions of The Age of Absurdity.
Their second album, titled We’re The Bastards, was released in 2020, still featuring Starr on vocals.
The third album, Live In The North, was recorded in Sunderland in 2021 with Joel Peters on vocals and released in March 2023.
The fourth album, Kings of the Asylum, was released on September 1, 2023. Leading up to the release, three videos were launched for the tracks “Schizophrenia”, “Hammer and Dance”, and “Strike The Match”, the latter recorded at an exclusive invite-only event in Cardiff.
