Ortegas concert

Ortegas is an independent acoustic performer who has been active since the end of 2020. A guitarist and singer Denis Protega, who has been playing in the alternative rock band “Muhe” for many years. In 2020, he got inspiration for a slightly different style of music than the one he played with the band and decided to make a solo project under the name Ortegas.

The music can be described as “darker” and slower desert blues with elements of ethnic, eastern, Native American and California influences. So far he has released 3 singles, “So Much More”, “Break Away”, “Native” and EP “Escape”.
Performed at Rijeka, Opatija, Istria and Croatian islands (”Escape The City” festival in Istria, Harats Pub in Rovinj, Devetka Pub in Novigrad, Rock Caffee Labin etc.). The song “So Much More” even reached a radio station in Mexico!
He performs with guitarist and singer Ivan Korlević and percussionist Endi Oblak. Along with original material, they also perform covers of the Doors, Sixto Rodriguez, Neil Young, Creedenc, Bob Dylan, etc.
