Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg (ZDA) + Niet [Subart open air]

⚡️ MARKY RAMONE (ex Ramones) ⚡️
Marky Ramone je najbolj poznan kot bobnar legendarne skupine Ramones, pri kateri je preživel 15 let. Preden se je pridružil Ramonesom, je igral z različnimi vplivnimi glasbeniki že od srednješolskih let, ko je bil član brooklynske hard rock skupine Dust. S prijateljema Richiem Wiseom (kitara, vokal) in Kennyjem Aaronsonom (bas) je posnel dva albuma za založbo Karma Sutra/Buddha.

Leta 1976 je Marky spoznal Richarda Hella in skupaj z Bobom Quinom ter Ivanom Julianom ustanovil skupino Richard Hell & the Voidoids. Leta 1977 so izdali prelomni album Blank Generation pri založbi Sire Records. Po zgodovinski britanski turneji z The Clash se je Marky znašel v baru z Dee Dee Ramoneom, ki ga je vprašal, ali bi se pridružil Ramonesom. Spomladi 1978 je postal del Ramonesov, le nekaj tednov kasneje pa že snemal svoj prvi album s skupino – Road to Ruin, ki je vseboval enega največjih hitov skupine, “I Wanna Be Sedated”. Leto kasneje so posneli kultni film “Rock ‘n’ Roll High School”, nato pa sodelovali z legendarnim producentom Philom Spectorjem pri albumu End of the Century.

Po več turnejah in dveh studijskih albumih so ga leta 1983 izključili iz skupine, a se je 1987 vrnil in ostal član vse do razpada Ramonesov leta 1996. V tem času je odigral več kot 1700 koncertov in sodeloval pri več kot 15 albumih, med njimi tudi pri Mondo Bizarro in Adios Amigos, zadnjem albumu skupine.

Leta 2010 so Ramonesi prejeli prestižno Grammyjevo nagrado za življenjsko delo, prvo Grammy priznanje za pionirje punk rocka.
V istem letu je Marky s svojo novo skupino Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg in pevcem Michaleom Gravesom (ex-Misfits) izdal singel “When We Were Angels”. Marky še vedno aktivno koncertira s Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg, pri čemer sodeluje z različnimi pevci, kot sta Andrew W.K. in Michale Graves.

Z neustavljivo energijo Marky še danes širi punk rock po svetu in dokazuje, da je duh Ramonesov še vedno živ!

Ljubljanska punk skupina Niet je nastala novembra 1983, svoj prvi koncert pa je odigrala takoj po polnoči na novega leta dan 1984 na hardcore zabavi v MC Zgornja Šiška. V prvotni zasedbi
so bili Primož Habič (vokal), Igor Dernovšek (kitara) in Aleš Češnovar (bas kitara), na bobnih pa je na prvih posnetkih (vključno z Depresijo) igral Tomaž Bergant Breht.

Niet so bili na začetku del tedaj zelo prodorne ljubljanske hardcore scene, ki je vključevala bande kot so UBR, Stres DA, Odpadki civilizacije, Tožibabe … V nasprotju z ostalimi, ki so sprva
prisegali na pristop Do it yourself, pa so se kmalu odločili za svojo pot in se podali v studio Boruta Činča (klaviaturista legendarnih Buldožerjev), kjer so po seriji osmih večinoma manj kot
minuto dolgih hardcore komadov aprila 1984 posneli svoj prvi veliki hit Depresija. Maja 1984 je za bobne sedel prvi stalni bobnar Nietov Tomaž Dimnik, druga vokalistka (ob Primožu Habiču) pa je postala Tanja Ukmar.

Septembra tega leta so Nieti kot glavne zvezde alter večera nastopili na Novem rocku in povzročili med poslušalci totalno evforijo, ki je po besedah enega izmed navzočih kritikov povzročila, da je šla zaščitna ograja dobesedno v franže. Septembra 1984 je pri založbi Škuc izšla kaseta Srečna mladina, ki je zaradi zgolj 200 izdanih kosov postala najbolj presnemavana
kaseta v zgodovini slovenske rock glasbe.
Decembra 1984 je skupina posnela svojo največjo uspešnico Lep dan za smrt, ki velja danes za eno ključnih skladb slovenskega rocka, v novem tisočletju pa jo je z velikim uspehom priredila
tudi zasedba Dan D.

V začetku leta 2024, ob 40-letnici svojega prvega koncerta nasploh, so Nieti izvedli veliko vrnitev na ”prizorišče svojega rojstva”, v Križanke. Okroglo obletnico svojega delovanja na
glasbeni sceni so zaznamovali z velikim koncertom z gosti 24. maja 2024, v legendarnih ljubljanskih Križankah. Ob tem je pri ZKP RTV SLO izšla dvojna LP plošča Pa tako lep dan je bil s posnetki iz vseh ključnih obdobij te legendarne skupine, jeseni 2024 pa še knjiga, ki jo je spisal priznani glasbeni kritik Zdenko Matoz. Po razprodanemu koncertu v Križankah je nato sledila turneja Tema rjove skozi mesto, tej pa še niz devetih akustičnih koncertov Izštekani Niet z godalnim kvartetom Vijolice.

Marky Ramone is best known for the 15 years he spent drumming for the legendary Ramones. Prior to joining the Ramones, Marky played with an array of influential musicians dating back to his high school years when he was a member of the Brooklyn based hard rock band, Dust. Recording two albums with his friends, Richie Wise (guitar and vocals) and Kenny Aaronson (bass) for Neil Bogart’s Karma Sutra/Buddha label.

In 1976, Marky was introduced to Richard Hell. Along with Bob Quine and Ivan Julian, they formed Richard Hell & the Voidoids. The Voidoids released their groundbreaking debut album in 1977 on Sire Records, entitled “Blank Generation”. Shortly after the Voidoids historic U.K. tour with The Clash, Marky found himself at the bar at CBGB with Dee Dee Ramone. Dee Dee asked him if he would be interested in joining The Ramones.

After several tours and a two more studio albums, Marky was asked to leave the band 1983, only to rejoin his band mates in 1987 until they decided to call it quits in 1996. His tenure with the Ramones spanned a total of 15 years. Performing over 1700 shows and more than 15 releases, including songwriting credits on both Mondo Bizarro and Adios Amigos, the bands farewell release.

In February 2010 The Ramones received a Grammy Lifetime
Achievement Award. It was the first Grammy for the punk rock
pioneers.

In early 2010 Marky Ramones Blitzkrieg with Michale Graves released their first single “When We Were Angels” with former member of Sheer Terror, Mark Neuman, playing bass and guitar.
With no signs of slowing down, Marky Ramone continues to tour the world with his band, Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg, featuring various lead vocalists including Andrew W.K. and Michale Graves.

The Ljubljana-based punk band Niet was formed in November 1983 and played its first concert just after midnight on New Year’s Day 1984 at a hardcore party in MC Zgornja Šiška. The original lineup featured Primož Habič (vocals), Igor Dernovšek (guitar), and Aleš Češnovar (bass guitar), with Tomaž Bergant Breht playing drums on the band’s early recordings, including their iconic track Depresija.

Niet emerged as part of Ljubljana’s thriving hardcore scene, which included bands like UBR, Stres DA, Odpadki Civilizacije, and Tožibabe. However, unlike many of their peers who embraced the DIY ethos, Niet quickly took a different path and entered the studio of Borut Činč (keyboardist of the legendary band Buldožer). In April 1984, they recorded their first major hit, Depresija, a collection of eight mostly sub-one-minute hardcore tracks. In May of the same year, Tomaž Dimnik became the band’s first permanent drummer, and Tanja Ukmar joined as a second vocalist alongside Primož Habič.

By September 1984, Niet had become the breakout stars of the alternative scene, headlining Novi Rock, where their performance caused such a frenzy that, according to one critic, the protective barriers were literally torn apart. That same month, ŠKUC released their cassette Srečna mladina, which, with only 200 copies produced, became the most duplicated cassette in Slovenian rock history.

In December 1984, the band recorded their biggest hit, Lep dan za smrt (A Beautiful Day to Die), now considered one of the most iconic songs in Slovenian rock. The track was successfully covered in the new millennium by the band Dan D.

In early 2024, to mark the 40th anniversary of their first-ever concert, Niet returned to the scene of their “birth”—the legendary Križanke venue in Ljubljana. They celebrated their four decades in music with a major anniversary concert on May 24, 2024, featuring special guests. To commemorate the occasion, ZKP RTV SLO released the double LP Pa tako lep dan je bil, featuring recordings from all key periods of the band’s career. In the fall of 2024, a book by renowned music critic Zdenko Matoz will also be published.

Following their sold-out show at Križanke, Niet embarked on the Tema rjove skozi mesto (Darkness Roars Through the City) tour, followed by a series of nine acoustic concerts, Izštekani Niet, in collaboration with the Vijolice string quartet
