ETNO HISTERIA WORLD ORCHESTRA 2023
Od 17. julija 2023 bo potekalo že dvajseto glasbeno srečanje Etno Histeria, ki bo za 14 dni združilo 70 vrhunskih glasbenikov iz 21 držav. 26. julija se bo orkester predstavil v Kinu Šiška in na koncertu postregel z okusno mineštro skladb iz celega sveta, ki jih začini z avtorskim pristopom vsakega od udeležencev. Nastop poteka z obilo komunikacije in improvizacije, ki ustvarjajo vedno nove dinamike, zato je tudi vsak koncert nov in nepričakovan dogodek tako za poslušalce kot za orkester.

Že od leta 2003 se vsako poletje (z izjemo let 2010 in 2014) vzpostavi mednarodna skupina od 50 do 100 vrhunskih glasbenikov iz vseh kontinentov, ki se v petih dneh po posluhu naučijo in nato še zaranžirajo približno uro in pol dolg glasbeni program. Učenje poteka horizontalno, saj udeleženci učijo drug drugega, vsako leto pa orkester koordinira nova ekipa mentorjev. Večina programa je postavljena na lokalnih ljudskih vižah in napevih posameznika ali skupine (npr. bolgarska kopanitsa, švedski scottish, slovenska pesem, …), ki jih nato udeleženci v izjemno kratkem času pretvorijo, harmonizirajo ter ustvarijo kompleksne aranžmaje. Repertoar je vsako leto nov, mnogokrat pa se koncertom pridružijo drugi glasbeni gostje (npr. Jani Kutin, Rok Trkaj, Jani Kovačič, duo Past …).

Po dvotedenski izkušnji se glasbeniki razidejo ter v večini primerov v manjših konstalacijah nadaljujejo sodelovanja po vsem svetu. Etno Histeria je boter mnogim uspešnim projektom, kot tudi novim glasbenim potem, saj odpira povsem drugačno in novo glasbeno perspektivo, ki je odvisna predvsem od komunikacije in sposobnosti poslušanja.

ETNO HISTERIA WORLD ORCHESTRA 2023
Ethno Histeria World Orchestra is an international project that has been bringing together musicians from all over the world for over 20 years. Every year, in the middle of summer, musicians from all continents travel to Slovenia, where they intensively rehearse the program that they create together during the workshops. The musicians exchange folk and traditional compositions from their own surroundings, and in some cases also original compositions, which are then manifested in the sound of the original interpretation of the 70-member orchestra.

After an intensive week of mutual learning and creation, the orchestra goes on a tour around Slovenia, Croatia and Italy. On July 26, the orchestra will present itself at Kino Šiška, where it will serve delicious compositions from all over the world, spiced up with the author’s approach of each of the participants. The one-hundred-member orchestra, led by a group of experienced mentors, plays without notes and always creates new dynamics with improvisation, which is why every concert of their tour is a new and unexpected event for both the listeners and the orchestra.

After two intense weeks, the unique orchestra falls apart and musicians, in most cases, continue with collaborations all across the world in smaller constellations. Etno Histeria is the godfather to many successful projects, as it defines a completely different musical perspective, which is not common in classical educational principles. Communication, composition, creation, interpretation and improvisation, all done by ear and without too much explanation is a tool, which can be hardly achieved to such an extent in any other artistic expression.
