Celica špila 2023: Morvern + Đoko

Celica špila, pleše, miga, gruva in muva na najbolj vročih koncertnih večerih v mestu, ob svoji 20. obletnici pa tudi žura, kot se spodobi! Ta četrtek bomo migali in žurali z Morvern in Đoko! 🧨🤯

🤯 Morvern je trboveljska zasedba, ki se od leta 2017 zadržuje v Ljubljani. V tem obdobju so igrali na različnih prizoriščih – od manjših lokalnih klubov pa do večjih odrov, kot je Kino Šiška. Končno je napočil čas, da se ustavijo tudi na našem letnem vrtu. Skupino je moč videti v številnih oblikah in izvedbah, žanrsko pa se spogledujejo s psihedeličnim rockom, art punkom, ter noise rockom. Morvern so izdali že več kot 20 albumov za underground ljubljansko založbo ŠOP Records, trenutno pa so v postopku ustvarjanja novega albuma.

🧨 Đoko so synthpop/indie bend iz Maribora, ki kroji rožnato obarvan zvok katerega dopolnjujejo z melodičnimi sintetizatorji, elektronskimi bobni, melanholičnimi besedili in kitarami. Leta 2022 so izdali svoj prvi single, ki je dal pobudo ljudem, da prisluhnejo komadu in si nadenejo ‘Puli’.
Z drugim komadom so popeljali poslušalce do ‘Blok-a 22’. Komad, ki je konec septembra 2022 postal popevka tedna na Valu 202 in je po mnenju poslušalcev Radia Terminal 3. najboljši komad lanskega leta.
Z zadnjim izdanim komadom 4611, napovedujejo svoj prvi album, ki bo izšel letošnje leto. Material, ki pa se bo znašel na albumu je mogoče slišati na njihovih nastopih.

Celica rocks, dances, moves, and grooves at the hottest concert events in town, partying as it should for its 20th anniversary! This Thursday, we’re going dance and party with Morvern and Đoko! 🧨🤯

🤯 Morvern is a band that was originally formed in Trbovlje but has been based in Ljubljana since 2017. During this period, they have played in various venues, ranging from small local ones such as clubs and private parties to larger ones like Kino Šiška (Ljubljana – SLO) and Močvara (Zagreb – CRO), and even in Bitola (NMK). The band comes in many shapes and colors, encompassing psychedelic rock, art punk, and sometimes noise rock. Its turning point came in 2017 when it played its first non-solo project as an opener for Svemirko (CRO) in Channel Zero (Metelkova). Throughout this period, Morvern self-published more than 20 albums on the heavyweight champion underground label ŠOP Records. In 2019, the album “Intentalo de Nuevo” ranked 11th in Radio Študent’s “Naj Tolpa Bumov,” which showcases the best of the current year. Currently, they are in the process of making a new album.

🧨 Đoko is a synthpop/indie band from Maribor that crafts a rosy-colored sound complemented by melodic synthesizers, electronic drums, melancholic lyrics, and guitars. In 2022, they released their first single, which prompted people to listen to the song and put on their »Puli«.
With their second song, they took listeners to »Blok-a 22«. The song became the hit of the week on Val 202 radio in late September 2022 and was voted the best song of the year by Radio Terminal 3 listeners.
With their latest release, »4611«, they announce their first album, which will be released this year. The material that will be featured on the album can be heard during their performances.
