ŠTEFAN KOVAČ MARKO BANDA (ŠKM BANDA)

ŠKM Banda moves in post-jazz, but now brings to the fore a more aggressive approach to composing, a playful intertwining of guitar noise and mighty sound walls. During the Coronavirus lethargic times, the band recorded and self-released the minimalist single Izhod (May 2020), and the latest release is the fresh 12-minute single Prekesen (May 2021, Kapa records). The latter was accompanied by a nostalgic video, which marks the band’s 20th anniversary with a collage of domestic VHS and other unpublished recordings.

IZTOK KOREN

Iztok Koren, a versatile musician, multi-instrumentalist and musical proletarian, hitherto known from the imaginary folk group Širom, post-rockers ŠKM Banda and noisers Hexenbrutal, presents himself for the first time with his solo album Osamljene hvalnice in stebri praznine, which will be released digitally on 11 November 2020 at London Takuroku by the legendary club Cafe Oto and in physical form next year at the Italian label Torto Editions.
